Swimming Pool Rules and Regulations
1. Anyone
using the pool and the facilities at any time does so at his/her own risk.
2.
Parents shall be fully responsible for their children at all times.
3.
The pool will open daily, weather permitting, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm
(9:00 pm on Friday), Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
4.
All members must register themselves and their guests daily upon entering the
pool area.
5.
All children under ten ABSOLUTELY MUST be supervised by a competent person (14
years or older) at all times.
6.
Children ten and over may swim unaccompanied by an adult provided they have
passed the lifeguard’s swimming test.
7.
Swimming is permitted under the following provisions:
A. One or more lifeguards must be present and on duty.
B. The lifeguard must have checked and approved the cleanliness and
clarity of the water.
8.
Persons over eighteen may swim during a break at their own risk.
9.
No one, who is ill, has recently been injured, or has an open sore or skin
disease may go in the pool.
10.
Children that can swim are not allowed in the wading pool.
11.
Non-swimmers are not allowed in the big pool unless they are accompanied in
the pool by a competent adult.
12.
Children wearing diapers are required to wear rubber pants when they are in
the pool.
13.
The wading pool and the middle pool are under the jurisdiction of the
lifeguards, but the lifeguards are not able to watch these pools. Therefore,
adult supervision is required. Parents or adult guardians of the children
using the area must be present and in constant attention.
14.
Running, rough play, and personal conduct endangering safety of self and
others is prohibited.
15.
No more than one person is allowed on the diving board at one time.
16.
The authority of the lifeguards on any matter pertaining to swimming or the
enforcement of rules is final.
17.
Please do not reprimand any employee. Complaints of any type must be made to
the Pool Chairman
Kenan
Wright or Pool Manager Amy Nalley.
18.
Persons in pool attire must restrict their presence to the pool.
19.
The fee for the use of the swimming pool for guests is $2.00 per day for
out-of-town guests. Local guests, while accompanied by a member, will be
extended swimming privileges for $5.00 per day and not more than four times a
year.
20.
All accidents (no matter how minor) must be reported to the lifeguard on duty
or the Pool Manager.
21.
Patio furniture and sun chairs are available on a first-come, first-serve
basis.
22.
China
or glass containers are not permitted in the pool area. This applies to
drinks, lotions, etc.
23.
All arrangements for private swimming parties will be made through the Pool
Manager.
24.
All users of the pool area must deposit their trash, litter, and cigarettes in
the receptacles provided for this purpose.
25.
We have experienced some vandalism to the pool and bath house areas each year.
All members are requested to report all incidents they see or hear about to
the Pool Chairman or Pool Manager. Anyone caught vandalizing the pool or
bathhouse will be subject to suspension of pool privileges for the season.
26.
The lifeguard is in complete charge of the pool area and has the authority to
ask anyone to leave the pool if that person disobeys the safety rules or if
his/her conduct is detrimental to the common pleasure of the other members
enjoying the area. The lifeguard also has the right to deny the use of the
pool to anyone who repeatedly violates the rules. This statement of
responsibility and authority has the complete affirmation of the
Pool Committee and the Board of Directors.
27.
Food and drinks will be furnished by our club in a designated area.
28.
Non employees are not permitted in the lifeguard office or storage rooms
without permission of the lifeguards.
