pool. The Lifeguards’ priority is the main swimming pool.
Non-swimmers must be accompanied by an adult in the main pool.

Children
at the Pool
One of the major safety issues in prior years at
the pool has been the challenge of managing the behavior of children
while trying to assure the safety of swimmers.
The Pool Manager and the Pool Committee are asking
parents to assure that their children understand the rules they must
follow:
Children under 10 MUST be supervised by a competent
person at least 14 years of age.
Children 10 and over may swim unaccompanied by an
adult if they have passed a swimming test given by a lifeguard.
“3 STRIKES IN A DAY” Rule
Children who are at the pool without supervision
MUST obey the lifeguards. It is the role of the Lifeguard to maintain
safety and when the behavior of children limits their ability to do
that, they have the right to ask the parent to remove the child from
the pool.
The first “Call Down” will be a
warning.
The second will require the child to sit out of the Pool.
The third will require a call to the parent to come
to get the child.
The Lifeguard may restrict the child from coming to
the Pool for a determined time for uncontrollable behavior. If it is
determined that a child has caused vandalism, he or she will be sent
home for a determined period of time with no warning. Obviously, we
hope this type of behavior NEVER happens and with cooperation from the
members, we can control behavior and maintain a safe environment. |
