3 Pools

One of Meadow Greens greatest assets is the availability of pool for different levels of swimmers. The wading pool is for non-swimmers only. Parents are responsible for the safety of their children in the wading pool and the middle pool. Adult and teenage swimmers should not be in the wading pool or middle pool. The Lifeguards’ priority is the main swimming pool. Non-swimmers must be accompanied by an adult in the main pool.

Suggestions/ Complaints

All suggestions & complaints should be made to the Pool Manager Lindsay Nalley or the Lifeguard in charge.

A suggestion box will be available and all suggestions will be reviewed weekly by the Manager and Pool Committee. If there is an urgent issue, please talk to the Lifeguard in charge who will discuss the issue at the next break.

NO-NO’s

No food or beverages except for people with special needs or children 3 & under.

No glass containers should be brought to the pool.

No beer or alcohol may be brought into the pool area.

Snack Shack

The menu in the snack shack has been greatly expanded. We think you will enjoy the new items. If you have ideas, please put them in the suggestion box.

Other information

All accidents, even minor, must be reported to the Lifeguard. Only one person may be on the diving board at a time. Swimming is permitted only if at least one lifeguard is on duty. Pool attire stays in the pool area.

The Lost and Found area will be cleaned out weekly. Unclaimed items will be donated.

Private parties are scheduled with the Pool Manager.

Please pick up your trash.

Children at the Pool

One of the major safety issues in prior years at the pool has been the challenge of managing the behavior of children while trying to assure the safety of swimmers.

The Pool Manager and the Pool Committee are asking parents to assure that their children understand the rules they must follow:

Children under 10 MUST be supervised by a competent person at least 14 years of age.

Children 10 and over may swim unaccompanied by an adult if they have passed a swimming test given by a lifeguard.

“3 STRIKES IN A DAY” Rule

Children who are at the pool without supervision MUST obey the lifeguards. It is the role of the Lifeguard to maintain safety and when the behavior of children limits their ability to do that, they have the right to ask the parent to remove the child from the pool.

The first “Call Down” will be a warning.

The second will require the child to sit out of the Pool.

The third will require a call to the parent to come to get the child.

The Lifeguard may restrict the child from coming to the Pool for a determined time for uncontrollable behavior. If it is determined that a child has caused vandalism, he or she will be sent home for a determined period of time with no warning. Obviously, we hope this type of behavior NEVER happens and with cooperation from the members, we can control behavior and maintain a safe environment.
